Werdohl, Germany. VDM Metals, one of the leading manufacturers of nickel, cobalt and zirconium alloys, as well as high alloyed special stainless steels, has been accredited as a supplier by the largest Omani oil and gas producer, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
With immediate effect, VDM Metals can supply Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and subcontractors with corrosion-resistant nickel materials in all semi-finished forms (ingot, billet, slab, rod, sheet, strip, wire). Before potential suppliers can apply for orders, PDO requires a comprehensive, three-stage approval procedure that includes auditing. Within this context, the quality management system of VDM Metals satisfied all requirements, resulting in the granting of accreditation.
For more than 30 years, VDM Metals has been supplying companies in the oil and gas industry with high-quality nickel alloys - for instance, VDM® Alloy 625 or VDM® Alloy 825. In particular, these are characterised by their outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion.
