Acerinox will invest 67 million Euros in its high-performance alloys division
The investments totalling 67 million euros will be allocated to the Unna, Altena and Werdohl sites, all Germany. They will enable the step-by-step expansion of capacities for strip, rod, wire and powder in the coming years.

VDM Metals represents the High-Performance Alloys (HPA) division of the Madrid-based Acerinox Group since March 2020. The company produces nickel alloys and high-alloy special stainless steels in particular in the product forms sheet, strip, bar, wire and powder.
The Unna site will be the focus of the investments. Three new remelting units and a second powder atomisation plant are being built here.
In 2022, VDM Metals achieved a turnover of EUR 1.262 billion and a record EBITDA of EUR 125 million; finished goods production amounted to 44,000 tonnes. VDM Metals employs over 2,000 people worldwide, around 1,600 of whom work at the three sites mentioned above.
