VDM® FM 699 XA contains approx. 29 wt% chromium and 2.1 wt% aluminum and is highly resistant to metal dusting in carburizing and reducing atmospheres. In addition, the high chromium and aluminum content is also particularly beneficial for high resistance in oxidizing atmospheres at elevated temperatures. The aluminum content further increases the high temperature strength of the material by precipitating the γ'-phase at temperatures up to about 800 °C.

Further information

VDM® FM 780 is the filler metal version of a precipitation hardenable nickel-cobalt-chromium alloy developed by VDM Metals. The hardenability is achieved by additions of niobium, titanium and aluminum. Compared to VDM® FM 718, VDM® FM 780 is characterized by a higher application temperature (up to 750 °C possible) and high high-temperature oxidation resistance. The mechanical strength of the welding deposit as well as the ductility are superior to those of the filler metal VDM® FM 718.

VDM® Alloy 825 CTP is a modification of the proven standard material VDM® Alloy 825 (2.4858 / N08825). The corresponding welding grade VDM® FM 825 CTP, also developed by VDM Metals, is particularly resistant to hot cracking. VDM® FM 825 CTP is therefore particularly suitable for overlay welding by means of the TIG (hot wire and cold wire) or the MSG process. In addition, VDM® FM 825 CTP is characterized by significantly higher pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to the standard material.
